Review- Elixir by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Aiden St. Delphi will do anything to save Alex. Even if it means doing the one thing he will never forgive himself for. Even if it means making war against the gods.

My review:

I’m not a fan of novellas, but this one right here was the cherry on top after finishing with Deity. The ending of the book left me entirely speechless, and Elixir was a continuous heart-breaking, roller-coaster ride full of emotions. It made me love Aiden even more, if that was possible! Finally we see Seth’s true nature, and we find out just how much Aiden is trying to rescue Alex, how everyone is.

What Alex feared the most happened, she lost herself into Seth’s mind after she Awakened. She is just numb, and that makes her do stupid stuff, and say hurtful things. But, Aiden was there to help her, to try and make her understand this not her thinking, that she is not ok. Aiden, Marcus, Olivia, Deacon, Luke, Solos and even Lea were there to support her. The world has gone crazy, Seth and Lucian are attacking all the schools and they gathering pure’s and half-bloods, making them believe that they will change the order. Even the daimons are at their side, and God’s want to start a war. That means innocent people will suffer because of what they are doing. But how are they going to make Alex see this isn’t the path she will choose if she was still in there. They have a huge fight in front of them, and they need Alex.

Jennifer did it again creating a masterpiece. The ending totally blew me away, I was left in a state of sorrow because what Aiden had to endure and do, and for all of the other characters who tried to be there for each and of them, and for Alex who was saying a lot of awful things because she was just numb. Thank God I have Apollyon in my hands, or I wouldn’t know what I’ve done. I know for sure now that Apollyon is going to be phenomenal! Elixir was without a doubt a five star novella, a masterpiece!
